Applying Lipstick

Does lipstick ever look right on your lips? I mean seriously! Lipstick feathers, fades, and just doesn't look right on your lips. Whether you have pigmented or nonpigmented lips, lipstick still fades and feathers. So here are some tips that may help your lipstick look/feel better on your lips.
1). ALWAYS do a lip scrub and moisturize your lips.
2). Let the moisturizer set in/on your lips for atleast three minutes before applying lipstick/liner/gloss.
3). If you have pigmented lips, use a concealer to "erase" your lips so the color shows up more like it's supposed to.
4). Apply a lipliner to re-shape your lips and "contain" your lipstick so it does not feather.
5). Blott your lips on a sheet of tissue so you don't get it all over your teeth.

Washing Brushes

Have you ever had some makeup brushes that you cleaned and they just shed all over the place? Yeah, it happens to the best of us, you can't deny it. So these are just a few tips that I have learned over the last couple of months from some makeup gurus on youtube.
1. Wash your brushes with a gentle shampoo, or a professional brush cleaner
2. Do a spot clean on your brushes everytime you use them, and do a deep clean atleast every 2 weeks.
3. DO NOT get water or cleanser on the farrow of your brush (the part that holds the bristles into the brush itself)
4. Let the brushes dry flat
5. Re-shape them if needed
6. DO NOT pull the bristles out if they start to shed, it only makes it worse.
I really hope these tips helped you. I don't know if you find anything else that works, but if you do make sure and tell me :)
